For a marvellous view of the famous ‘Dubai Palm’, one of the emirate city’s landmarks, it is recommended to climb up to the new terrace ‘The View at the Palm‘. This panoramic viewpoint, located at an altitude of 240 metres atop the Palm Tower, offers a 360-degree view of Palm Jumeirah and the Dubai skyline. Built with the intention of standing out against the backdrop of Palm Jumeirah, the Palm Tower building boasts 46,000 square metres of glass and 17,000 tonnes of steel.
The Palm Tower stands near the Nakheel Mall in the area known as Palm Jumeirah, an artificial palm-shaped island built in the early 2000s. Palm Jumeirah consists of a long trunk and a rounded crown of 17 long leaves. It is home to a number of luxury residential complexes, high-end restaurants and the famous Atlantis Hotel, built right on what is considered to be the top of the palm tree.
The complex known as Palm Tower was completed in 2021 and houses not only five-star hotels but also luxury flats, top restaurants, an infinity pool (said to be among the highest in the world) and an observatory. And it is on the 52nd floor of The Palm Tower that one finds the panoramic terrace, known as The View at the Palm, which allows one to enjoy a beautiful view of the Persian Gulf.
A visit to the site begins with an exhibition telling the story of Dubai’s evolution over the years and the story of the birth of this artificial island also through various interactive activities. A quick trip up in a lift takes you to the observatory at an altitude of 240 metres, which offers a 360° view of the Palm. Besides a beautiful view of the surrounding area, a cafeteria and a souvenir shop are also located here.
The View at the Palm is open daily from 10am to 10pm. One of the best times to go up to the observatory is definitely at sunset, but it is necessary to buy tickets in good time as it is a very popular time of day.
The View at the Palm is located inside the Palm Tower on Palm Jumeirah Island. Visitors can reach it by taxi or via the monorail to the Nakheel Mall station.
The View at the Palm is the observatory located on the 52nd floor of the Palm Tower, the tower built on the island of Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. The building is directly connected to the Nakheel Mall and the entrance to The View at the Palm terrace is located inside the mall.
