Ski Dubai

Ski Dubai is one of the projects that have made this city so unique and inimitable. It is an indoor area, built inside the Mall Of The Emirates, where one can enjoy winter activities such as skiing and tobogganing, as well as various games for children.

The attraction is certainly one of the most unique in all of Dubai and opened in November 2005, becoming the first indoor ski facility in the entire Middle East.

The temperature inside Ski Dubai is kept at a constant -1 °C during the day and -6 °C at night, when artificial snow is produced. But those who choose to enter Ski Dubai will not have to fear the cold: the admission ticket includes the hire of a suit and gloves, as well as all ski or snowboard equipment.

Skiing and snowboarding

Ski Dubai consists of an 85-metre high artificial mountain with five ski slopes of varying gradients and difficulty, the longest of which measures 400 metres. There are two lifts: a ski lift and a four-seater chairlift with an intermediate stop, taking skiers and snowboarders to different heights.

A ski school, run by expert instructors, will give anyone the opportunity to learn the basics of this exciting sport. The more experienced, on the other hand, can head for the freestyle area, with specially constructed jumps and ramps.

Snow Park

At the lowest level of the Ski Dubai, at the end of the slope, there is a 3,000 square metre snow park with sledges, walls to climb, descents into giant snowballs and even a visit to an ice cave. It is the largest indoor snow park in the world and the attractions are perfect for children who want to have fun in the snow or build a snowman.

Encounter with penguins

Ski Dubai is also home to a colony of penguins that are let out several times a day. It is possible to book an encounter with the penguins to interact with them yourself. There are 20 of the cute animals in all, and those who choose to meet them will have the chance to learn more about them – a way for the whole family to get closer to one of nature’s most adorable creatures.

Snow Bullet

One of the most entertaining attractions at the Ski Dubai snow park is the Snow Bullet. Those who decide to experience an adrenaline rush will be tied to a rope 16 metres high and will be launched from peak to peak, reaching a speed of 40 km/h suspended in the void.

The Snow Bullet has two parallel wires, which gives you the chance to compete with friends or family in a race to the finish.
