Legoland Dubai is the theme park for a day of pure fun for the whole family. Opened in 2016, Legoland Dubai is located within Dubai Parks and Resorts, the largest theme park in the Middle East. As can be understood from its name, Legoland is a playground whose attractions are based on the toys of the LEGO company that was founded in 1968 in Denmark.
Legoland Dubai was the first LEGO theme park to open in the Middle East and the seventh in the world. Designed for families with children and teens, there is a wide variety of rides, activities and entertainment options within Legoland. Like many other Lego theme parks, the heart of Legoland Dubai is formed by Miniland, an interactive area consisting of no less than 20 million LEGO plastic bricks that reproduce famous landmarks and cities to scale.
Legoland Dubai boasts over 40 rides, shows, interactive experiences and LEGO-themed attractions that are suitable for children aged between 2 and 12 years. Within the Park are several areas such as: the Factory, Lego City, Imagination, Kingdoms, Adventure and Miniland.
The Park also has several restaurants where you can dine or take a coffee break. From pizza to Mexican food, from burgers to ice cream at Legoland Dubai all visitors can find the right meal!
The LEGO Factory is the perfect place to discover how these famous little bricks are made. On this family-friendly tour, you can discover the secrets and curiosities of these bricks that have fascinated children and adults alike for years. Next to the factory is also The BIG Shop, the largest LEGO shop in the Middle East!
Lego City is a miniature reproduction of a city built with Lego. Here all visitors can fly a plane, drive a boat, rescue a burning building or even earn a LEGOLAND driving licence! There is also a playground in this area that reproduces a miniature harbour. Children can enjoy being young sailors on rides that reproduce coastguard boats, cruise ships or fishing boats.
This is the area for all true LEGO fans. Here you can visit LEGO Mindstorms where you can follow a fun tutorial to build and programme state-of-the-art computerised robots that obey your every command. Alternatively, you can join the LEGO Master Builder Academy to become a master of building with Lego. Don’t miss a visit to the Kid Power Towers where, with special seats, you can climb to the top to admire the park from above and then free-fall downwards.
For those looking for a bit of an adrenaline rush, this is the right area. Set during the Middle Ages within this area are exciting rides such as the Dragon rollercoaster. For younger children, however, there is a simpler rollercoaster known as the Apprentice.
Young explorers in search of adventure will have a great time in this area of the park. Lost Kingdom is the attraction that allows you to travel through the ruins of ancient temples to recover a pharaoh’s stolen treasure, while with Wave Racers you dodge water gushes aboard a mini motorbike. With Submarine Adventure, on the other hand, you can take a family trip in a LEGO submarine and admire thousands of colourful fish.
Miniland is the area of Legolandia where you can see more than 20 million Lego bricks used to create miniature models of cities, skylines and iconic locations. In addition to Dubai’s most famous sites, here you can admire major attractions from across the Middle East made to scale.
Light shows are also organised throughout the day, with more than 15,000 LEGO models illuminated using over 800 lights.
As we know by now, Dubai is a city that loves to surprise. That is why another amusement park has been built inside Legoland Dubai, namely the Legoland Water Park. Given the high temperatures that often characterise the city, Legoland Dubai has equipped itself with a water park in which to enjoy and cool down on hot days.
Legoland Water Park is the only water park in the United Arab Emirates designed specifically for children from 2 to 12 years old. At this park, you can build your own raft or boat out of LEGOs or launch yourself at full speed down one of the slides. Younger children can play in the wave pool, while families can board one of the inflatable boats to ride the rapids.
