Abu Dhabi’s climate is arid desert type, with very high average temperatures and very little rainfall; snow exists only in artificial form on indoor ski slopes. Sunshine and blue skies all year round does not mean, however, that one can go to Abu Dhabi in all seasons.

July and August are not recommended for a trip to the capital of the United Arab Emirates because the temperatures become scorching (well over 40°) and the high humidity makes the heat unbearable: you would risk spending the whole holiday locked in a hotel.

On the other hand, autumn is the best time to go to Abu Dhabi and winter is also recommended. The milder – but still warm – temperatures allow you to fully enjoy your time in the city, whether you want to indulge in cultural sightseeing or spend relaxing days at the beach.

Abu Dhabi is perfect for a beach holiday when it is cold here: in November and December you can find daytime temperatures between 22° and 30°. Nighttime lows are around 13°.
